Water Taxis and Ferrys

Catch a water taxi (available on request from any wharf) and head for the Sydney Fish Markets for Sydney’s freshest seafood. Ph: 02 9955 3222. Alternatively, take a ferry from Circular Quay to Manly for another of the city’s great beaches. 

Swimming & Surfing

Swim in the baths at Bronte beach or at a harbour beach (Nielsen Park or Balmoral). For surf, head to Bondi, Tamarama or the Northern beaches. 

Centennial Park & the Royal Botanical Gardens

Shopping in Sydney

Go to Pitt Street Mall for all the arcades, centres and department stores. Crown Street and Paddington offer numerous funky and leading- edge designer stores that will satisfy even the most discerning shopper. There are also numerous weekend markets around Sydney especially at the Rocks which provide a relaxed and laid-back atmosphere.

The Sydney Aquarium 

One of the largest aquariums in the world, the Sydney Aquarium boasts more than 5000 different Australian fish displayed in their natural habitats. Visitors can "walk on the ocean floor" through 145 metres (480 ft) of acrylic underwater tunnels. The aquarium is open 9.30am-9pm daily, with the last admission at 8pm.

Luna Park

Chinatown / Chinese Gardens 

Just minutes from the hotel, you can experience Sydney’s Chinatown. A delightful mixture of Asian culture, shopping and cuisine. The area's distinctly oriental architecture, street lanterns and archways confirm it as a showpiece for Australian Chinese Culture. The Chinese Gardens or friendship is nearby.
